Brotherhood for the Fallen Blue Tie Gala

The SafeLIGHT Foundation promotes safe driving behavior, strengthens relationships between law enforcement and the community, and supports individuals and families who have been negatively impacted by traffic injuries or fatalities. The Brotherhood for the Fallen is a non-profit organization that honorably supports the families and communities of fallen officers across the United States.

The SafeLIGHT Foundation supported the 2021 Brotherhood for the Fallen Blue Tie Gala on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Foundation staff enjoyed an evening with law enforcement partners, their spouses, and retired law enforcement officials from Matteson, who were gracious hosts providing good conversation and anecdotes during the evening of awards, live and silent auctions, music and dancing. In honor of fallen Chicago Police Officer Ella French, a commemorative folded American flag was presented to her mother Elizabeth French. The folded flag is a law enforcement tradition that represents one of the last moments a family will have with their loved ones.
